Truck Wrap Design That Accounts for the Vehicle

A truck is not simply a larger car canvas. Box bodies may have rivets, corrugations, seams, liftgates, roll-up doors, and different substrates on the cab and cargo body. Pickups add wheel arches, bed rails, handles, and compound curves. Dump, utility, and flatbed trucks introduce equipment, compartments, and high-wear work areas.

We begin with the actual truck configuration, accessible surface condition, verified dimensions, and the way the vehicle will be seen. The layout prioritizes readable identity and contact information while keeping critical graphics away from hardware, panel breaks, and areas that are poor candidates for film.

Design, large-format printing, lamination, and installation are managed from our 10,000 sq ft Linden facility. That gives one team control of file setup, color targets, panel organization, production notes, and installation planning for a single truck or a phased fleet rollout.

Trucks We Wrap

Box Truck Wraps, Pickup Wraps & Work-Truck Graphics

Coverage and film selection should follow the body construction, operating environment, viewing angles, and message—not a one-size-fits-all package. Explore the truck types we plan for most often.

Large Format Box Trucks

Box Trucks

Broad route-facing panels for delivery, moving, distribution, retail, and service brands.

We plan graphics for box trucks from 10 to 26 feet, accounting for the box height, side construction, rivets, seams, liftgates, rear doors, cab shape, and surfaces that may not be suitable for film.
Pickup Trucks

Pickup Trucks

Full, partial, and lettering packages for contractor, landscaping, sales, and field-service pickups.

Pickup layouts must work around cab styles, bed lengths, fenders, wheel arches, handles, bed rails, trim, and tailgates. The factory color can become part of an efficient partial-wrap design.
Dump Trucks

Dump Trucks

Cab and body graphics for construction, demolition, excavation, and hauling vehicles.

We prioritize visible approved areas while avoiding or adapting around high-wear zones, moving components, rough coatings, corrosion, and surfaces that cannot support dependable adhesion.
Flatbed Trucks

Flatbed Trucks

Branding for the cab, headboard, toolboxes, and compatible flatbed surfaces.

Because the open bed provides less continuous space, the layout concentrates identity on the surfaces that remain visible around cargo and equipment. Common uses include rental, supply, and heavy-haul operations.
Tractor Cabs

Tractor Cabs

Coordinated graphics for regional and over-the-road tractors.

Cab make, sleeper configuration, fairings, tanks, steps, equipment, contours, and operating exposure all affect the artwork and film plan. Each configuration is reviewed before production.
Utility / Service Body

Utility / Service Body

Compartment-aware graphics for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, telecom, and utility trucks.

Service bodies include doors, hinges, handles, ladder racks, warning markings, and mounted equipment. We build the layout around access points and keep important information on stable, readable panels.
Truck Wrap Cost Factors

What Determines the Cost of Wrapping a Truck?

Truck wrap pricing starts with measurable surface area, but size is only one input. Coverage, body material, rivets and corrugations, existing graphics, paint or coating condition, artwork readiness, film system, access, vehicle quantity, and schedule all affect the quote.

Truck TypeCommon ApplicationsHigh-Value Graphic AreasQuote Considerations
10–12 ft Box TruckLocal delivery, catering, retail serviceBox sides, rear door, cab doorsBody substrate, door style, rivets, cab coverage
14–16 ft Box TruckCourier, distribution, contractorsLarge side panels, rear, cabPanel seams, hardware, surface condition, coverage
20–22 ft Box TruckFood distribution, regional deliveryRoute-facing sides and rearBox height, refrigeration hardware, fleet quantity

Tractor CabRegional freight and over-the-road fleetsDoors, sleeper, fairings, rear cab panelsCab configuration, contours, equipment, downtime

A partial wrap or lettering package can focus the budget on the surfaces people see most often. A full wrap creates a more continuous system across approved panels. Neither option has a universal price percentage because every truck body and scope is different.

For an accurate quote, send the year, make, model, body manufacturer when known, overall box length and height, photos of every side, current surface condition, number of trucks, desired coverage, artwork status, operating location, and target installation window.

Why Hawk Wraps

Why Businesses Choose Hawk Wraps for Truck Graphics

Commercial-Vehicle Capacity

Our 10,000 sq ft Linden facility supports pickups, work trucks, tractor cabs, and box trucks up to 26 feet. Overall dimensions and access are confirmed before scheduling.

Truck-Aware Layouts

Design files account for doors, rivets, corrugations, hinges, latches, equipment, fuel access, and panel transitions before graphics reach production.

One In-House Workflow

Design, large-format printing, lamination, production labeling, and installation are managed by one team, reducing handoffs between approval and application.

Vehicle-Appropriate Film Systems

We work with products from 3M, Avery Dennison, and Oracal, selecting film and laminate around the truck substrate, contours, exposure, and intended service term.

Fleet Version Control

For multiple trucks, we organize art and production files by unit, adapt approved layouts across body types, and coordinate installation in practical phases.

Inspection Before Installation

Accessible surfaces are reviewed for damage, repairs, corrosion, failing paint, coatings, and other conditions that can change adhesion or removal risk.

How It Works

From Vehicle Review to Installed Truck Graphics

Each project follows a documented in-house workflow, with the details adjusted for the truck body, surface condition, coverage, and fleet schedule.

1

Scope & Vehicle Review

Share the year, make, model, body configuration, dimensions, photos, fleet count, operating conditions, desired coverage, and schedule. We identify surfaces that need closer inspection.

2

Design, Measurement & Proof

We combine available vehicle templates with verified measurements and reference photos, then position key graphics around doors, hardware, seams, contours, and viewing distance for approval.

3

Print & Production

Approved files are organized by panel and vehicle, printed on the selected film system, laminated when specified, trimmed, labeled, and checked before installation.

4

Preparation & Installation

The truck is inspected, cleaned, prepared, and installed panel by panel around approved rivets, hinges, latches, doors, and contours. Timing is confirmed after scope and surface review.

Visibility Built Into the Workday

Turn Every Route Into Repeated Brand Exposure

A truck already travels through service areas, delivery routes, jobsites, and customer neighborhoods. Clear graphics help connect that daily movement with the company behind the work—without relying on unsupported impression estimates.

Routes
Build recognition along the roads and neighborhoods your trucks already serve
Jobsites
Identify the company while crews, equipment, and vehicles are on location
Side + Rear
Plan messages for traffic beside the truck and drivers approaching from behind
One Asset
Use an operating vehicle as both transportation and an owned branding surface
One System
Keep colors, identity, and information consistent across mixed truck types
FAQs

Truck Wrap Questions, Answered

How much does it cost to wrap a truck?
Truck wrap cost depends on the truck type and dimensions, graphic coverage, surface material and condition, design readiness, film and laminate system, removal or preparation needs, installation access, and vehicle quantity. Photos, measurements, and the requested schedule help us prepare an itemized quote.
How much does it cost to wrap a 26-foot box truck?
A 26-foot box truck cannot be priced accurately by length alone. The quote changes with box height, side and rear coverage, cab coverage, rivets or corrugations, door style, existing graphics, surface condition, design scope, material system, and fleet quantity. We review those details before confirming price and production time.
How long does a truck wrap last?
Expected service life varies by the selected film and laminate, surface type, panel orientation, mileage, sun and weather exposure, storage, washing, maintenance, and installation details. We recommend a product system for the specific truck and explain the manufacturer's applicable performance guidance rather than promising one lifespan for every wrap.
How long does it take to wrap a truck?
Timing depends on vehicle size, coverage, artwork status, surface preparation, existing graphic removal, truck access, fleet quantity, material availability, and current production capacity. We confirm the installation window after reviewing the truck and approved scope.
Will a wrap damage my truck's paint?
Vehicle wrap film is designed for compatible, sound, properly cured surfaces, but a damage-free result cannot be guaranteed. Failing clear coat, rust, body repairs, fresh or non-factory paint, corrosion, existing damage, exposure, and removal timing can affect the outcome. We inspect accessible surfaces and may recommend testing, preparation, or declining unsuitable panels.
Can I wrap a leased truck?
A leased truck may be wrapped only with written approval from the owner or leasing company and confirmation that the agreement permits graphics. The truck must also pass a surface review. Removable film does not eliminate paint or removal risk, especially on repaired, repainted, corroded, or already failing surfaces.
What's the difference between a full and partial truck wrap?
A full wrap uses coordinated graphics across most approved exterior panels, while a partial wrap concentrates graphics on selected areas and blends them with the truck's existing color. The right option depends on the truck body, viewing angles, message, budget, and condition of each surface.
What size trucks can you handle?
We work with pickups, box trucks up to 26 feet, dump trucks, flatbeds, service-body trucks, utility trucks, and tractor cabs. We confirm overall dimensions, roof height, body configuration, equipment, and facility access before scheduling.
Do you offer fleet pricing for multiple trucks?
Yes. We can build a controlled graphic system across multiple truck types, organize files by unit, match approved colors and layouts, produce graphics in batches, and coordinate phased installation. Share the fleet roster, locations, vehicle availability, and rollout deadline for planning.
What materials do you use?
Hawk Wraps works with vehicle graphic products from manufacturers including 3M, Avery Dennison, and Oracal. The appropriate film and laminate depend on the substrate, contours, rivets, expected service term, exposure, and removal plan. Not every product is appropriate for every truck surface.
Can you wrap trucks with rivets and corrugated panels?
Many riveted and corrugated truck bodies can accept graphics, but the panel material, coating, rivet condition, corrugation depth, seams, and prior repairs must be evaluated. We select the film and installation method around the actual body and the manufacturer's guidance; unsuitable areas may be excluded.
Can you remove an old wrap and apply a new one?
Yes, after an inspection. Removal time and cost depend on the film, age, exposure, body material, adhesive condition, and condition beneath the graphics. Removal can reveal fading, repairs, corrosion, weak paint, or other pre-existing issues, so we assess the truck before confirming a rewrap schedule.

Client Reviews

Truck Wrap Reviews

Recent feedback from Hawk Wraps clients across New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut.

★★★★★
We wrapped three service trucks before the start of our busy season and the entire process was smooth from beginning to end. Tito walked us through the materials, helped adjust a few design details, and kept us updated throughout production. The installers paid attention to every edge and seam, and the trucks looked consistent across the fleet. We've already had customers mention they spotted our trucks around Brooklyn, which tells me the wraps are doing exactly what we wanted.
Michael R.HVAC Contractor · Brooklyn, NY
★★★★★
Our company has wrapped trucks before, but this experience was on another level. Alex coordinated everything around our crews so we never had more than one truck off the road at a time. The colors matched our existing branding perfectly, and the installation was exceptionally clean. The project finished when promised, and we've already scheduled two additional trucks.
James L.Commercial Roofing Company · Newark, NJ
★★★★★
We needed our maintenance trucks updated with new branding after a company rebrand. Gabby made the approval process simple and kept communication clear throughout the project. The finished wraps look professional without being overdone, exactly what we wanted for vehicles that are constantly visiting residential communities. We've received compliments from both residents and property owners.
Stephanie M.Property Management Company · Jersey City, NJ
★★★★★
After adding two new trucks to our landscaping fleet, we wanted them to match the rest of our vehicles. Luis helped recreate the graphics from our older trucks while making a few improvements that actually made the branding cleaner and easier to read. The trucks were completed quickly, and you honestly can't tell which ones were wrapped years apart.
Carlos D.Landscaping Business · White Plains, NY
★★★★★
Our bucket truck wasn't the easiest vehicle to work around, but the installation team clearly knew what they were doing. There were a lot of doors, compartments, and hardware to work around, yet every graphic lined up perfectly. Communication was excellent throughout the project, and Tito made sure we were happy before the truck left the shop. I'd definitely recommend them to any contractor looking for quality commercial wraps.
