Custom Bus Wraps
Planned Around Passengers & Service
Build a recognizable livery or campaign graphic system for transit buses, charter coaches, shuttles, school and activity vehicles, party buses, and passenger conversions. We plan each layout around the actual unit—including glass, doors, emergency exits, accessibility markings, lights, sensors, and the operator's approved requirements—then design, print, laminate, and install in-house in Linden, NJ.
Bus Graphics Must Work Around Glass, Doors and Safety Systems
A bus is not simply a larger van. Passenger windows interrupt the message area, doors and access panels move through the design, and destination signs, lights, reflectors, cameras, sensors, vents, wheelchair-lift zones, emergency exits, required labels, and operator markings must remain functional and visible as required.
We begin with the actual bus configuration and the owner or operator's approved specifications. That lets us identify useful body panels, decide whether any glass is suitable for perforated film, preserve required clear zones, and adapt the creative to the way passengers and pedestrians encounter the vehicle at stops, terminals, hotels, campuses, venues, and destinations.
Production stays in our 10,000 sq ft Linden facility, where design, printing, lamination, panel preparation, and installation can be coordinated under one roof. For active fleets, we can discuss representative-unit review, phased production, and installation sequencing around the operating calendar after we understand the buses and scope.

Bus Wrap Cost Factors by Vehicle Type
An accurate bus wrap quote starts with the exact unit and approved scope. The table below shows the design and production questions that commonly change by configuration.
| Bus Type | Common Use | Primary Design Surfaces | Quote Considerations |
|---|---|---|---|
| Shuttle / Mini-Bus | Hotel, airport, campus, senior and employee service | Body sides, rear and selected approved glass | Body builder, doors, lifts, windows, unit count and pickup identifiers |
| School / Activity Bus | School, camp, community and group transportation | Only owner- and authority-approved areas | Vehicle use, jurisdiction, required color, lights, markings, stop arm and exits |
| City / Transit Bus | Operator livery or approved advertising | Large side and rear panels around equipment | Authority specifications, campaign term, glass, access panels and documentation |
| Charter / Coach Bus | Tour, casino, corporate, team and destination travel | Long body panels, luggage bays and approved glass | Coach configuration, panel seams, vents, finish, wash routine and fleet variation |
| Articulated Transit Bus | High-capacity route service | Multiple body sections and approved campaign zones | Articulation, length, access, authority rules, production scale and installation plan |
| Party / Event Bus | Private events and entertainment transportation | Modified body panels and approved glass | Conversions, coatings, lighting, specialty films, duration and removal plan |
| Perforated Window Film | Compatible passenger-glass graphics | Individually approved panes | Glass type, visibility, exits, wipers, sensors, laws, operator rules and product limits |
Coverage is only one cost factor. Surface preparation or old-graphic removal, body and glass condition, artwork development, specialty finishes, regulatory or operator review, quantity, configuration differences, access, documentation, and schedule also affect the quote. Send photos of each side, year and model information, fleet count, target coverage, artwork status, and any written operator specifications for a scope-specific estimate.

A Bus-Wrap Workflow Built Around Real Operating Constraints
Review the Actual Bus Configuration
Body builders and option packages can change doors, windows, seams, panels, lights, vents, cameras, sensors, lifts, and emergency equipment. We review the real vehicle instead of trusting a generic silhouette.
Plan Every Window Pane
Perforated film is evaluated only for compatible, approved glass. We account for emergency-exit function, visibility, wipers, sensors, seals, operator rules, product guidance, and the way the design reads across interrupted windows.
Protect Operator-Approved Clear Zones
The owner or operator identifies the current safety, accessibility, authority, manufacturer, and lease requirements. We translate those approved constraints into production files that preserve the specified exits, markings, signs, lights, and equipment.
Work Around the Operating Calendar
We discuss vehicle availability, prep needs, approvals, production dependencies, bay scheduling, and release priorities before setting dates. Similar multi-unit fleets can be phased when the scope and calendar allow.
Control Fleet Files and Variants
A master livery can be adapted across coaches, cutaways, passenger vans, and transit bodies while keeping the same visual hierarchy. Unit-specific proofs help teams review differences before production.
Keep Production Under One Roof
Design, printing, lamination, panel preparation, and installation are coordinated from our 10,000 sq ft Linden, NJ facility. That central workflow supports clearer handoffs and controlled revisions.

Our Bus Wrap Process
The sequence stays consistent, while timing is set after the vehicle, approvals, preparation, production scope, and operating calendar are known.
Step 1 — Scope & Vehicle Review
Share the bus type, year and model, body builder, quantity, photos, intended coverage, artwork status, operating schedule, and owner or lessor approval. We identify configuration differences, substrate concerns, glass questions, access needs, and the documents the operator must supply.
Step 2 — Design & Operator Approval
We build the layout around the actual unit and the operator's identified clear zones. Proofs show how the system handles body panels, doors, windows, equipment, required markings, and fleet variants. Production begins after artwork and placement are approved in writing.
Step 3 — Print, Laminate & Stage
Approved graphics are printed, laminated where specified, finished, labeled, and organized by vehicle and panel. Body film and any approved perforated window film are produced for their separate surfaces and use conditions. Similar fleet units can be grouped when practical.
Step 4 — Preparation, Installation & Review
The bus is inspected and prepared for the approved film system, then installed panel by panel. The final review checks graphic alignment, edges, seams, and the clear zones identified in the approved layout. The operator completes its own required compliance and release inspection before the vehicle returns to service.
Visibility at Stops, Terminals, Venues and Destinations
A bus graphic can support more than one moment: identifying the correct shuttle in a crowded pickup lane, reinforcing a charter operator at a destination, carrying an approved campaign along a route, or keeping a mixed passenger fleet visually connected. Clear hierarchy matters because viewers may encounter the same vehicle while it is moving, stopped, parked, loading, or photographed.

Bus Wrap Reviews
Recent feedback from Hawk Wraps clients across New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut.
We needed graphics for several school shuttle buses and wanted something clean, durable, and professionally installed. Alex coordinated the project around our transportation schedule so there was minimal disruption. Every bus looks consistent, and the quality of the installation is outstanding. We couldn't be happier with the final result.
Our sightseeing buses are constantly in front of visitors, so presentation is extremely important. Gabby worked closely with our marketing department to make sure every detail matched our brand standards. The wraps turned out better than we imagined and have become a huge part of our advertising throughout the city.
We wrapped two campus shuttle buses before the fall semester. Luis coordinated the installation around our academic calendar, making the entire process stress-free. The buses now have a modern appearance that represents the university much better than the old paint ever did.
We've worked with several graphics companies over the years, and this was by far the smoothest experience. Tito kept communication consistent from design approval through installation. The graphics are vibrant, perfectly aligned, and have held up well despite constant daily use.
Wrapping a full-size coach bus isn't a small project, but the crew handled it with confidence. Every panel lines up perfectly, and the branding looks fantastic from every angle. Alex kept us informed throughout the process, and the project was completed exactly when promised. This won't be our last vehicle with them.
